"California, Gone" is a song that I started writing years ago and only recently refined the lyrics to. To me, the song is about acceptance and letting go of what "should" be. It's about leaving a positive legacy going forward regardless of the past.

I mess up some of the lyrics in this performance (call it live performance "jitters"). The actual lyrics are as follows:
