I write and release original music as The Hidden Gold — songs about self-doubt, family, relationships, loss, and finding your way through life.
Drawing from alternative rock, folk, and wherever a song takes me, I love memorable melodies and arrangements that go somewhere unexpected. The songs often start with difficult feelings, but there's usually some hope in there too.
The Long Road Back to Music
I fell in love with music when I was 15. Somewhere along the way, the boy who wanted to be heard became the man who was afraid to be seen.
For years, I kept writing songs but struggled to put myself out there. As I approached 40, I realized the fear of never really giving music a shot had become greater than the fear of trying.
So I started again. I'm still finding my way, and the music is part of that journey.
