David B. Gaskin is a professional music producer, songwriter, and musician with a passion for writing and producing hooky songs that inspire and resonate with listeners.
From his early days as a guitarist and songwriter, strongly inspired by Radiohead’s The Bends and Ok Computer, to fronting his first band Epic and performing alongside notable acts across Southern Ontario such as Treble Charger and Idle Sons, David’s journey has always been rooted in a deep love for music.
After honing his skills at Recording Arts Canada and Humber College, where he studied audio engineering and music composition under top industry professionals, David transitioned into radio as a sound and production engineer. His ability to combine technical expertise with artistic vision has made him a sought-after collaborator, working with legends like Rik Emmett (Triumph), Bob Furgo (Leonard Cohen), and Robin Aube (Daniel Lanois, U2).
David’s work has earned national recognition, with features on CBC TV, national airplay, and broadcasts on Canadian television. As a songwriter and producer, he specializes in creating hooks, melodies, and lyrics that connect deeply with listeners. His expertise spans rock, pop, folk, contemporary, classical, jazz, and indie genres, offering a unique blend of artistry and professionalism to every project.
